What is Work-Based Learning?
Work-Based Learning (WBL) is an educational strategy that provides students with real-life work experiences where they can apply academic and technical skills and develop their employability while being enrolled in classes.
Could this be for you?
- Are you presently employed in your field of interest? or
- Would you like to gain employment while attending school?
- Would you like to learn by doing?
- Would you like to earn wages while attending school?
- Would you like to apply what you are learning in the classroom in the career path you have chosen?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then WBL may be for you.
One of the goals of MDCC is that students become successful in their chosen career.
Therefore, MDCC works with students and employers through Work-Based Learning. This
educational program combines classroom instruction with practical work experience
that is directly related to a program of study. The mission of WBL is to enhance student
knowledge by combining classroom learning with hands-on work experience.
